Chris Hemsworth is like Christopher Reeve in that he can do two things: he can wear a big red cape without a shred of self-consciousness. But he’s also funny as hell, and he’s so sweet. So with all the fish-out-of-water stuff, he’s so funny. So he does almost two jobs in a way.

I mean, me and Tom had a lot of fun, on— on Thor and then Avengers, erm, it’s just— mostly our stuff was always together, and— and, especially our fight scenes, it kind of would start off great and we’d both get a little too hyped up and he’d end up smashing me in the head with his spear or… you know, I think I elbowed him in the nose at one point—… It was kind of an accident, but. … But he started it. Erm. It’s funny trying to fight, like— The hammer is, like, this long. And he’s got a massive spear. And we’re trying to fight like we would with swords so, this, like, this is the section he has to hit exactly or else he hits my hand. And like… seven times out of ten it was my hand he was hitting. I was like— [ksjdhfkjshd] — but, erm. That was… yeah, that was pretty fun. … For him.

There is a huge amount of bromantic love going on between Hiddleston and Hemsworth. We immediately got on. We both had the same sense of humor, and there must be something in Australian and English schools that er, this thing of basically ribbing each other - basically taking the piss out of each other all the time. All about mutual ridicule and mutual mockery, but also with an undercurrent of a lot of admiration and respect.
